Ambassador James Lockhart, The Voice of the called. In April 2011 God gave manifestation to the vision of “The Rhema Gospel Express. This program was a unique manifestation of a destiny God gave to me years ago. The program features compelling topics and guests within San Antonio’s local community and across the country. “The Rhema Gospel Express “offers Christian Worldview as we analyze current events, cultural issues, and matters of faith from a biblical perspective with the mission of sharpening your Christian worldview.
Uniquely according to God’s plan, I started working for KROV Radio Station, with no prior experience in radio, yet obeying and having faith in what God had spoken to me. Today, as I reflect over my life, I have had a desire to work for a radio station since I was 13 years old. The vision is only beginning to unfold in this season. Greater is yet to come as I remain in obedience and walk humbly doing the work God has called me to do. Several years later I spoke with Mr. & Mrs. Collins, owners of KAPE Radio Station in San Antonio, Texas. I shared with them my deep desire to be an announcer/ DJ on the radio.
In 1977 the owners allowed me the privilege to go in on Saturdays to observe, listen, learn and experience the ends and outs of broadcasting. One Sunday morning, I went to the radio station (KAPE RADIO) during Sunday school hour. Rev. Antone Dykes asked me to be a part of the Sunday School Panel. No experience, just an opportunity to be able to share the word of God. I said yes. After Sunday school Panel was over, one of the pastors (Wm. A Ellis) came over to me and invited me to come to his church. (At that time it was Greater Lincoln Park Temple). I became a member of his church, I learned a great deal under Pastor Ellis preaching & teaching ministry. In addition, Pastor Ellis’ insight about people, their gifts & talents was unique. The Artist that came to the church was able to share their gifts, talents minister to the congregation. To name a few artists; Shirley Caesar, Jessie Dixon, O Neal Twins, Dr. Vernard Johnson, and Sarah Jordan Powell and many others. As I recall, God opened doors for me to broaden my knowledge & skills starting with learning to work television cameras. After that exposure I stepped up to hosting a 1 hour. 30 min weekly television shows. The layout of the show was a 30 minute talk show, 1 hour preaching /teaching, singing and praising dancing Faithful to God’s call, I broaden the television ministry. I commuted from San Antonio, to Dallas & Fort Worth areas. I was able to minister the WORD of God while stirring up the gifts of pastors, evangelist, and young people on television.
During my time in Dallas and Fort Worth Texas, I was able to develop a relationship with several record labels: Sparrow, Malaco, Blackberry Records, and Aristo Media and Tyscott. 2008, the Lord spoke to me telling me to do a Tribute To The Armed Forces in San Antonio, Texas (Special Guest from Sul Fork Virginia, Recording Artist / Praise & Worship Leader ,Tracy Jones) Under the heading of James Lockhart Productions Inc. During 2008 – 2009 James Lockhart Productions has had various out-reach programs in San Antonio. My supporters are my Pastor Kenneth Flye (Inspirational Church) and Supt. S. E. Stewart (Evangelist Temple C. O. G. I. C.) I thank God for their support, allowing me to have Soul Outreach Ministries at their churches. Zechariah 4:10 in the New Living Translation says:“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.” For the future, our mission is to continue reaching and connecting with youth, pastors and community leaders to help them fulfill their God given dreams. The next venture is to begin a television community service show. “HELPING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY” God is a God of history. He has brought me full circle to my beginnings. I anxiously wait what God has in store as He brings me to my destiny in Him for such a time as this, KROV Radio and the birthing of “ The Rhema Gospel Express”.
